Delaware County EMS Captain Bob Fish

Captain Fish was born and raised in Delaware County, graduating from Buckeye Valley High School in 1975, then attending the Ohio Institute of Technology in Columbus, studying Electronics.  After graduating, he returned home to work on the family farm and he started his own electronics repair business, doing so for five years until it became necessary to turn to farming the family's land full time.  He continues farming today.

In 1977, he joined the Radnor Township Volunteer Fire Department, where in 1983 he was promoted to Lieutenant, then in 1989 to Assistant Chief.  He continues as their Assistant Chief today.

In 1988 Captain Fish attended one of the first classes held in Delaware County to become a trained EMS First Responder.  This is when he first discover his interest in emergency medicine!  He found it so interesting that he became a basic EMT in 1991, and started volunteering on the squad with the Battle Run Volunteer Fire Department in Prospect, Ohio.

In 1996, he attended paramedic school at the Tri-Rivers Career Center in Marion, Ohio and was hired by Delaware County EMS the same year.  In May of 1999, he was promoted to Crew Chief, and then to Duty Supervisor in November of 2000.  He was promoted to Captain in 2004.

"It has been a pleasure to work for Delaware County EMS and an honor to serve the people of Delaware County." - Captain Bob Fish
