Delaware County EMS Chief Rob Farmer

Chief Farmer graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado, and immediately after graduation, moved to Central Ohio.  After bouncing around in a few college courses, he decided it was time to do what he was meant to do, and that was to go to Paramedic school.

After graduating from Columbus State Community College, and working for a short time at American Ambulance and the Ohio State University, he was hired by the City of Upper Arlington Fire Division, where he spent the next nearly 14 years of his career as a professional firefighter / paramedic.  He left to come to Delaware County EMS in the Summer of 2004.

Since he first earned his Paramedic card, Chief Farmer has gathered a variety of experiences, from critical care to flight, to research and lecturing, to expert witness testimony, etc...  During his 20 years in Fire / Rescue and EMS, his passion has always been for Emergency / Prehospital Medicine first and foremost.  At this point, the culmination of his efforts, he feels, are where they should be...  right here at Delaware County EMS.  He is wonderfully married with four children, and is very thankful for the people that work with him on this department each and every day.
